Bread Givers
In our group today we discussed the Father's scene with Berel Bernstein. In this scene we felt Berel was trying to snap the father into reality. He was trying to explain that the father was being lazy, relying on his daughters for money. We felt the father should realize that his family needs his support, not through the Torah, but by getting a job. He cannot just rely on his daughters because sooner or later they will be gone.
